I never would have even touched this parfum based on the bottle. Looks like a guys scent -- i thought it was, til the lady who told me it was on sale informed me it *was* for women. I smelled it in the store, I had points to spend on a drugstore card, so I thought why not? since it was basically free. I knew it was a quality scent, not a cheap parfum, and I'm a parfum collector, so I bought it, never expecting it to become my sudden out-of-no-where mad-for favorite....
Sales lady had a tester I even sniffed in the store. I was 'ehh' about it, didn't smell terrible but didn't knock my socks off. Brought it home, forgot it on the shelf with the rest. One day I sprayed it on, and something curious happened.... all day long I kept sniffing my own sweater and rubbing my hand over the part in my hair (where i often spray perfum) and I couldn't get enough of it!
The reviewers who tell you this parfum wears entirely differently than it does when first smelled/experienced aren't kidding. There has to be some kind of magic addictive potion in this perfum because it is so PERFECT.
I won't reiterate all that has already been said about it's chemistry and notes, but I will say that today I was reading a book and I couldn't smell the perfume on any of my clean clothes and I made an actual trip down stairs to my main floor bathroom to drench myself in it.
It's that good. Don't ask me why or how, but it's my beloved new favorite for 3 weeks straight now... might be a lifetime signature scent.. it's certainly overtaken my coco chanel that I always wore which now smells about as nasty as cheap soap to me.
Try burberry classic (not burberry for women) ... it's a sleeper-like knock out. Goes everywhere, does everyting. if i could describe it, I'd say it smells like fresh, warm, glowing, human skin should smell.. almost as perfect as newborn baby smell... with a touch of spice.. a touch of floral.. a touch of musk.. a touch of fruit.. a touch of vanilla.. a touch of everything but nothing overpowering, yet it lasts on your coat forever.
i know the bottle is understated and nothign to write home about. But that's growing on me too.
It's pretty weird when a perfume collector hasn't touched another perfume for 3 wks. Not even a givenchy! This is a precident. Burberry? Who the hell is burberry? No big add campaign, no famous spokesperson, never hear it mentioned... and yet, it's got to be one of the most perfect perfumes in the world.

This perfume smells great! Hard to describe in words, but it smells sweet and soft. It can be worn day or night or in any season. It lasts a long time, and I always get told I smell pretty! You will love it!

This is one of my favorite perfumes. I love the smell and the value was outstanding. Better than department stores. 2 thumbs up!!!

I love this perfume.
From the moment I first tried it, I was hooked on this lovely fragrance.
It's suitable for any occasion, and has become my "signature scent".
Many perfumes give me a headache very soon after I spray apply them, (especially the Calvin Klein line). Burberry Classic doesn't do that to me and I can wear it every day. It is quite lasting, and I can smell it on myself for a long time, yet I never feel it's overpowering.

I love this smell- its sweet yet warm- not too sweet though, just right. Very inviting, and you can wear with anything anywhere. ALOT of compliments! with this one.... Will buy again! and again!
